Brett and Cam’s Trip

Brett de Woody and Cameron Lawson recently completed a 350 mile fat tire bike – packraft assisted beach expedition ride along the Gulf of Alaska. Their route was similar to the trip Dylan Kentch and I completed in 2008 but avoided the hazards of Hubbard Gap. The duo enjoyed decent weather and mellow crossings of Brett and Cam’s Trip

Custom bag binge

Been working through quite a few frame bags lately, here are some of the highlights: This one is a bit over the top, and although simple in appearance it has most of the features in my book of tricks: Another big bag with a tapered width front section: Bag for a Kent Eriksen 29er: Bag Custom bag binge

Tangle Bags!

Making a versatile, somewhat universal rectangle shaped frame bag that can fit a variety of bikes has been kicked around in my mind for a long time. To add a little extra oomph to the re-branding and web site launch, Tangle bags are now available. We have a small stock of the mountain size and Tangle Bags!

Weekend on the beach

Julie and I headed out beach biking for the weekend along the Kenai peninsula coast. Nice gravel, bluebird weather and campfires on the beach. Beach riding is fun… you should try it. More photos on Bikepacking.net.

DOOM’s Mission!

Steve Fasbinder and his buddy are heading out to traverse Canyonlands via the Needles District ending in Page, Arizona using Alpacka packrafts and Surly Karate Monkeys. Something like a 16-day expedition. They will need to carry a few days of water at some points. It’s awesome to see out-of-the-box trip ideas combining mountain bikes, packrafts DOOM’s Mission!
